Insurance and Apple Health
How ABA is covered in Washington, the steps Apple Health requires, and what we check for you before services start.
Apple Health (Medicaid)
Evergreen Pathways LLC is listed in the Washington Health Care Authority's Apple Health fee-for-service ABA provider directory for King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston and Kitsap counties, ages 2 to 22, home setting. If your child has Apple Health through a managed care plan, we check whether we are in network for that plan before anything starts.
The four steps Apple Health requires
- Center of Excellence evaluation. A recognised COE provider evaluates your child. Under 21, it must be an ABA COE provider.
- ABA order. The COE gives you the evaluation and a written order for ABA. Keep both.
- Provider assessment. Our BCBA assesses your child and writes the treatment plan.
- Authorization. We request prior authorization. Sessions begin when it is approved and are re-authorized on a schedule based on progress.

Commercial and employer plans
Most Washington plans cover ABA for autism with a diagnosis and prior authorization. Networks and copays vary. Call us with your plan name and member ID and we will tell you what we find before you commit to anything. We do not list plan names on this site until each one is confirmed.
What to have ready
- Your child's insurance card or ProviderOne number
- The COE evaluation and ABA order, if you have them
- Any earlier evaluations or school reports
Our promise on money
No surprises. We confirm coverage and explain any family cost in writing before the first session.
